Company Accreditations

SolarEssence is 100% committed to customer satisfaction. We are no new upstart having been established in 2006, as such are one of the most accredited solar companies in the UK. Please find below our main industry accreditations.

Microgeneration Certification Scheme

To be able to claim government backed renewable energy incentives such as the feed in tariff  or the RHI your system must be installed by an accredited organisation. The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) is an independent certification scheme designed to certify microgeneration products and installers in accordance with consistent standards. The scheme was launched by the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform. The primary aim of the MCS is to provide consumers with confidence and protection in this energy supply option by guaranteeing that microgeneration products and installers who carry the mark meet, and will continue to meet, robust quality standards. The MCS mark guarantees that SolarEssence follow a code of practice that meets the guidelines set by the Office of Fair Trading. http://www.microgenerationcertification.org/

Elecsa Self-Certification Scheme

Elecsa is an independent voluntary body for electrical installation matters throughout the UK. Solar Essence are a Fully Approved contractor and are subject to annual inspections to ensure that standards of quality and safety are maintained. Registered contractors work to the UK national standard, BS 7671, issuing a safety certificate for their electrical work to confirm that the installation has been designed, constructed, inspected and tested in accordance with the standard. The Elecsa Approved Contractor Scheme is accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) to EN 45011 – General requirements for bodies operating product certification systems. Accreditation ensures that the scheme is operated with independence and integrity and that it focuses on the quality and safety of the final installation. Elecsa approval demonstrates to our customers and specifiers that our skills, professionalism and services are the best in the industry. http://www.partp.co.uk/

REAL Assurance Scheme

The REAL Assurance Scheme was set up by the Renewable Energy Association. Their aim is to guarantee a high quality experience for consumers wishing to buy or lease small-scale energy generation systems for their homes. The REAL Assurance Scheme logo is a sign that SolarEssence has agreed to abide by the high standards set out in their Consumer Code. http://www.realassurance.org.uk/

Trust Mark Scheme

TrustMark is a quality mark which operates a framework under which 30 plus scheme operators work in the RMI (repair, maintenance and improvement) sector, including trade associations, local government trading standards teams, and independent scheme operators. These schemes are approved to carry the TrustMark logo and recruit reputable and trustworthy tradesmen. This enables the TrustMark scheme operators to promote improved RMI sector standards, and tackle related issues such as better enforcement. All of these scheme operators are audited annually by TrustMark, to ensure processes, standards and complaint procedures are being maintained. If a firm displays the TrustMark logo you know that they have approved and inspected the firm through one of the scheme operators and found that the firm meets the required Government endorsed criteria. http://www.trustmark.org.uk/
