In a world where giving due attention to environmental issues is the need of the hour, you should take steps at your level to prevent any further harm to the environment and reverse what has already been done. One of the popular yet effective ways that many people choose these days to do it is to curb the wastage of energy resources in any way possible and shift to renewable energy sources.
Solar energy is one such energy source that is becoming very popular these days. It is also one of the affordable options considering the decline of its setup price in the past few years to promote this practice. If you are also the one who wishes to opt for some eco-friendly energy sources options and wondering what the process would look like, below stated is a brief overview of the process of solar panel installation.
Setting up of scaffolding
The first step that the installation team would take would be to set up a temporary structure at the roof where the solar panel needs to be installed.
Installation of solar panel mounts
The next step would be to set up the entire solar mounting system at an angle between 18 and 36 degrees as per the need. It would be best if you decide the angle considering the direction at which it would have maximum sunlight exposure. This mounting system would serve as the basis for the solar panel.
Installation of solar panel
Then the solar panel needs to be installed over the mounting structure created in the previous step. Make sure to fix it well using nuts and bolts so that it remains stable.
Wiring of the solar panels
The next step would be to connect the wiring with the solar panel. It is strictly suggested to turn off the home’s electricity supply to ensure the safety of the person installing it. The wiring of the solar panels is usually done using the MC4 connectors, as it works well with most solar panels.
Installation of solar inverter
Installation of the solar inverted would be the next step. It will be connected with the system and can be installed anywhere, be it indoors or outdoors. Just point of consideration here will be to ensure that the place is cooler in terms of temperature.
Connect solar inverter and solar battery
Make sure you connect the solar inverter with the solar battery to help you utilise the saved energy when there is no sunshine or lack of sun.
Connect the inverter to the consumer unit
You must ensure that the solar inverter is connected to the consumer unit as that would lead to electricity generation. This generation meter should further be connected with a monitor so that you can keep a check on the amount of electricity generated using the solar panel. It can also help you understand the peak timings of electricity generation and manage your work accordingly.
Testing of the solar panels
The final step would be to turn on the solar panels and test their working as the installation process would now be complete.
